After updating shopsfunctionf.php All text becomes hidden

I'm using the latest version of joomla and also the latest version of virtuemart. I was having troubles with my virtuemart module but i seem to have fixed it by using the response in this thread: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=98556.0 and i used the filed at the bottom that the guys posted. I updated the file it now grants me access to the products details inside of the virtuemart products module but now all the text on the website becomes hidden when you highlight with your cursor you can see that the text is still there but it shows doesnt show if it is not highlighted?

any ideas how i may fix this?

Please disregard this post i had accidentally changed the font color in my template.css file
