Hi guys,

I've never used Virtuemart before, but I've been able to get the hang of it quite nicely. However, I have one problem that I haven't been able to fix myself, despite more than a few hours of scouring the internet. It's only as a last resort that I've come here to bother you :P

For some reason, when I try to use the checkout, I get a 404 Not Found error. It just immediately drops off.

Information:
I'm using Virtuemart 2.00
I'm using Joomla 1.7.3
The current url of the store is: http://azcomputerguru.com/customers/scuba/index.php/scubastore/
All of the current info and products on there are just test info and products.
I'm primarily using Google Chrome, but I've gotten the same error in every browser.

So far I've tried:
Turning SEO urls off, both in the Joomla Global Configuration, and in Virtuemart itself.
Reinstalling Virtuemart entirely
Modifying the url where the Checkout button points

I suspect that it has to do with the secure connection, because the first time I pressed the checkout button I got a security warning, and the https:// in the url is crossed out.

Any help that you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated.

From this I guess that you do not have an SSL certificate and that https is not enabled on the server. Make sure that "Enable SSL for sensible areas (recommended)" in turned off in VM configuration/shop.

Also check the server error logs for possible more information about the 404.

Turning off the SSL immediately fixed it :)

Thank you sir, you are a gentleman and a scholar.
