Some memory problem... suggestion? (J1.7 VM2.0) SOLVED

Hi there,
I've configured a shop with more or less 1000 products and as many images and thumbnails; my host allow 32Mb of memory and up until now I've some issue with this limit when:
- in frontend searching some products (not for all searches)
- in backend clicking on products to view the list

I've done a repair table and optimization via phpmyadmin with some improvement but I have not completely solved.
So, do you know the medium amount of memory that joomla! + Virtuemart use in similar conditions? Where can I start to ivestigate the cause?

what is your host name?
Did you got many active plugins in joomla ? If you have ... try to remove some of them (and test it again)

sorry, joomla SEF was enabled and we know this causing problems with VM... now it seems to be solved
