Manually Send Download Link?

Hi there, I'm looking to use VirtueMart for a business start up where we'll be selling downloadable items. Occasionally we may have the opportunity to sell our products at various conferences, and for payment we would just like to use our Square instead of having people type in their credit card information (too slow).

Is there a way in VirtueMart to manually send the download link to an email address?

Hmm, bummer. There really should be an easy way to do this. I just need to be able to input their name, email address, and what product(s) they bought (and already paid for in person), and be able to send them the receipt with a link to their products.

This is a pretty unique request, so would not be part of the core. It would need programming, maybe as a VM2 plugin or a component to work with the VM database. Remember that VM2 has only been available for 4 weeks, so in time something like this may become available from a third party, but maybe you could hire a programmer to produce a plugin for your own use & then market it to other VM users?

Wow, I wasn't aware that VM2 hasn't been out that long. I guess I could try programming this myself, I think I know my way around PHP and MySQL well enough to do this (I hope).
