payment methods and card display blank page

Hi,

latest version of VM with joomla 1.7

When I try to access payment types it sits thinking and then goes to a blank screen, along with the cart module when selected, thinks and goes to a blank screen

any help appreciated.

are you talking about front end or backend?

and what version are you using?

Hi,

both, if i click on my "cart" link it just hangs for a minute or so then displays a blank page, i enabled debug and no output messages
same on back-end, if i select payment methods just blanks out and dies, with no messages.

Note: that scenerio is with the "cart" module disabled, otherwise if I enable it, my whole site dies.

did an update at version: 2.0.0-RC-2M
Joomla: 1.7.3

Interesting,  re-installed com_virtuemart.1.9.8G ---- PAYMENT METHODS now displays on back-end AND  the CART now displays on the front-end but there is  some display and formatting "issues"

the cart still craps out when you attempt to go to it, and on the payment methods backend, when you add a new payment method and save, it fails

So, it looks like when the upgrade is done, it breaks the 1.9.8G, here's the upgrade info:

Installed version 1.9.8G
Latest version 1.9.8M
Latest release date 2011-11-09

YOU have to update the modules and plugins as well.

For some reason they do not auto update like they should. (atleast not for me)

That could be the problem. I usually uninstalll them, and the AIO component, and then install the latest version

thanks for the help guys, that seemed to fix the blank screens and get things going again.
i see a couple of quirks, but will create a bug ticket.

Have a demo on Sunday, so i have to import the prospective clients data into VM, so I was like sweating bricks. At least now I have a solid platform and hopefully he will go for this and we can all make some $$

Also should it upgrade to 2.0.0RC3  as the aio states ?, or leave as is

Also, do you have a link to VM staff  that can do custom work for us when needed
