VM2 RC2 multi-vendor? Will accomodate our scenario?

Hi,
for some time now we were looking to implement some kind of "multi distributor/vendor" feature in our VM 1.1.8 and got verry happy when found out that VM 2 will solve this.

In our case, for the time being, we want our vendors only to "add/assign" products into/from the DB, we don't have any shopping cart, any payment module at all. We are functioning only as "catalog mode".
In the future whene VM2 will become stable and full-featured maybe we will enable the shopping-cart and "store" functions allowing vendors to sell their products, manage stocks and collect payments.

So, for the time-being, VM2 RC2 can do this for us?
1. Vendors can add products, that gets displayed only if we approve them
2. Vendors can "assing" to them products that are allready added in the database.
3. On product detail page we can search prices by vendors, or vendors for that specific product .by area (let's say .. "vendors by state")
4. If "prices" are not yet supported by vendors, at least can we sort vendors on specific product by area ? (state)
5. Vendors will not sell any products thru our store (we are functioning as "product catalog"), we will not collect any payments/orders at all.
6. Let's say if we wanted to collect only orders, withour any payment processing, can we do that on our multi-vendor scenario? (users will ad product to cartfrom different vendor, will checkout, and after checkout each vendor will receive an email with ordered products - products related to them)

Is VM2 RC2 capable of this?
What feature will VM2 RC2 accomodate?
I didn't see any vendor feature in RC2?
