ps_authorise doens´t work, but ps_payment does. is this a save option

Hello, everybody,

i am building my first virtuemart sotre. Paypal works fine and now i want to have the credit card module as well.

I didn´t manage to work with the ps_authorize. I always get error. should i log to authorize.net and open and account? I am afraid i can´t understand how this works.

In the meantime, i choosed other option in the backend: ps_payment, instead of the ps_authorize, and credit card payment works fine. I ask, is this safe?
What is the big different between both?

Can you give me a tip? i don´t want unsave credit cards payments in my site. If this is not a safe option, should i insist in the ps_authorize?
