Once again, webgobe saves my bacon.  His extension is free and it works...ish.  When during checkout if you have choose shipping method enabled the user can choose SKU Based Shipping and then doesn't pay shipping on any product...

Yes, is a known thing... can be solved with a little hack in the shipping module, I will post the fix... essentially you can prevent to kick in if products with non-zero shipping rates are in basket. I have did it for a client, I have the fix somewhere... it's an one-line thing. As I have some spare time, I will post it - obviously for free
But currently I'm seriously swamped with commercial jobs.

Send me an IM message with the e-mail you used on registration. I have 3 users with incomplete registration process, and I prefer to release only the accounts of non-spammers.
Sorry for the problems you had, the JoomFish component sometimes goes south... but from 4000+ users registered on my site less, than 1% had this problem. You're one of unlucky ones, but I'm always there to hep anyone interested!

This module seems fantastic, but what about shipping costs for other countries?
Let me explai my point.

For example I've got product X that costs 5,00€ shipping to Portugal but I want it to cost 7,00€ to ship it to Spain or all European countries. For the rest of the world the shipping cost would be a different price for example.

Can be added... needs some custom programming, but can be done. I'm swamped right now, buy I put the idea on my to-do list.

Is there some examples/demos of webgobe's shipping module working?

If a users buys an item with delivery set to £5 and another set to £3, are they charged £5 or £8 for delivery? (I need a mod where they are charged £5 i.e. the highest delivery charge for any one item in their order).

I'm not sure this is really the place to advertise commercial modules, but I am not a moderator so it is just my opinion.

I think the issue can be said to be 'solved' (although the thread is not about a specific issue) when the community can freely access the mod / code in the forum.

The Joomla extensions directory (assuming it is GPL) is the place for this.

this issue is far from SOLVED
