VirtueMart site doesn't even use VirtueMart extension it uses Joomla if the issue is present then it is Joomla related and there is no separate installation of virtuemart.com site it is only a URL redirect to virtuemart.net

I understand about the virtuemart site, it was only a suggestion to find the problem. Because the problem persist within the different, maybe it's a Joomla problem completely. But can only find the problem together with Virtuemart.

I have tried the fixes but can still see the problem.
Are only trying to find ways to fix it, because I love Virtuemart.

Shure, if an active mod_virtuemart crashes the IE7, then it is a problem of Joomla. Shure! *LOL*

No need to be sarcastic OxiDia was talking about virtuemart.net and not mod_virtuemart

IE is real picky about code. Safari hates re-directs, etc.

See my link below, "We look for things that make us go, computer things."

Shoot, just when I thought we had it fixed I can now go to Joomla Config and force the whole website to SSL and guess who's back, OAI!

It's not a big issue for me now, since I rarely force the entire site to SSL. Forcing the backend admin is ok.

I completely stripped my site, no cache, gzip, etc. And will eventually see if I can duplicate on my local server. It would be helpful if I was a programmer.

Perhaps we need to co-ordinate this issue with the Joomla team and have a bug swat session since the problem showed soon after both JM/VM released an upgrade.

P.S. The only module I use is the category mod and the product scroller mod.

Have you read the manual? http://virtuemart.net/documentation/User_Manual/index.html I did, huh?

For me it is enough with this unstable version. I make a downgrade on a stable version.

By the problems I have meanwhile more than 2000 euros took and two good customers lost.

It has been confirmed again that open source software can cause many (heavy!) problems with itself. For an enterprise this is completely unacceptable. I would like to pay somebody for the remedying of the problems. But new problems come back to it again... :(

Oh my god!

I have found a solution for the IE7 problem in my shops after some days investigate now:

File: browse_1.php

I have included all DIVs in TABLES and my shops work now faultlessly and fast. Obviously the IE7 has a problem with these DIVs.

Old code:
Code: [Select]
<?php if( !defined'_VALID_MOS' ) && !defined'_JEXEC' ) ) die( 'Direct Access to '.basename(__FILE__).' is not allowed.' );
mm_showMyFileName(__FILE__);

?>

<div class="browseProductContainer">
   <div class="browseProductImageContainer">

   <script type="text/javascript">//<![CDATA[
      document.write('<a href="javascript:void window.open(\'<?php echo $product_full_image ?>\', \'win2\', \'status=no,toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,titlebar=no,menubar=no,resizable=yes,width=<?php echo $full_image_width ?>,height=<?php echo $full_image_height ?>,directories=no,location=no\');">');
      document.write( '<?php echo ps_product::image_tag$product_thumb_image'class="browseProductImage" border="0" title="'.$product_name.'" alt="'.$product_name .'"' ?></a>' );
      //]]>
   </script>

   <noscript>
      <a href="<?php echo $product_full_image ?>" target="_blank" title="<?php echo $product_name ?>"><?php echo ps_product::image_tag$product_thumb_image'class="browseProductImage" border="1" title="'.$product_name.'" alt="'.$product_name .'"' ?></a>
</noscript>

   </div>

   <div class="browsePriceContainer">

      <span class="browseProductSKU">&nbsp;Art.-Nr.: <?php echo $product_sku ?></span>
      <br />
      <span class="browseProductTitle"><?php echo $product_name ?><span>
      <br />
      <span class="browseProductDescription">
      <?php echo $product_s_desc ?>
      <br /><br />
      <a href="<?php echo $product_flypage ?>" title="<?php echo $product_details ?>">
      <?php echo $product_details ?> &gt;&gt;&gt;</a></span>
      <br /><br />
      <span class="browseProductPrice"><?php echo $product_price ?></span>
      <br />
      <span class="browseAddToCartContainer">
      <?php echo $form_addtocart ?>
      </span>

   </div>

</div>

New code:
Code: [Select]
<?php if( !defined'_VALID_MOS' ) && !defined'_JEXEC' ) ) die( 'Direct Access to '.basename(__FILE__).' is not allowed.' );
mm_showMyFileName(__FILE__);

?>

<div class="browseProductContainer">

<table width="100%" border="0"><tr><td>

   <div class="browseProductImageContainer">

   <script type="text/javascript">//<![CDATA[
      document.write('<a href="javascript:void window.open(\'<?php echo $product_full_image ?>\', \'win2\', \'status=no,toolbar=no,scrollbars=yes,titlebar=no,menubar=no,resizable=yes,width=<?php echo $full_image_width ?>,height=<?php echo $full_image_height ?>,directories=no,location=no\');">');
      document.write( '<?php echo ps_product::image_tag$product_thumb_image'class="browseProductImage" border="0" title="'.$product_name.'" alt="'.$product_name .'"' ?></a>' );
      //]]>
   </script>

   <noscript>
      <a href="<?php echo $product_full_image ?>" target="_blank" title="<?php echo $product_name ?>"><?php echo ps_product::image_tag$product_thumb_image'class="browseProductImage" border="1" title="'.$product_name.'" alt="'.$product_name .'"' ?></a>
</noscript>

   </div>
</td><td>
   <div class="browsePriceContainer">

      <span class="browseProductSKU">&nbsp;Art.-Nr.: <?php echo $product_sku ?></span>
      <br />
      <span class="browseProductTitle"><?php echo $product_name ?><span>
      <br />
      <span class="browseProductDescription">
      <?php echo $product_s_desc ?>
      <br /><br />
      <a href="<?php echo $product_flypage ?>" title="<?php echo $product_details ?>">
      <?php echo $product_details ?> &gt;&gt;&gt;</a></span>
      <br /><br />
      <span class="browseProductPrice"><?php echo $product_price ?></span>
      <br />
      <span class="browseAddToCartContainer">
      <?php echo $form_addtocart ?>
      </span>

   </div>

</td></tr></table>

</div>

Of course I also have made all changes which were already posted here before. Unfortunately, I do not know whether these have contributed somehow for the solution.

 :D Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou. The supplied files appear to have fixed my problem. This was preventing from putting the site live, and I had no idea how to fix it. This forum is fantastic!
