Shipping Carrier issue...

Hi,

when I add a new shipping carrier only the first letter of the name is stored
into the database.

I us nightly build from December 18 (don't know if this happened before, too).

I updated to 1.1.3 via the automatic upgrade function some days ago. Today I spend many hours trying to find a solution to the problem with saving a new carrier.
I search this forum for hours and only just found this under carrier rather than shipper.
My question is, how come it is not fixed in this latest version? which was release after the problem was identified? What do I do now? I didn't really wanted to start using SVN. Is that the only option now?

Update: I downloaded the SVN manual and overwrote the admin files. The version now says 1.1.2 but I can create and save a new shipper (carrier).
