VM1.1.2 on Joomla 1.0.15 with PayPal Pro (credit cards)

I have been using a PayPal Pro module in one of my istallations. This was the module available a few years ago and I had to fix some issues as the support was not the best.
I'm setting up a new store with Joomla 1.0.15 and VM 1.1.2 and I'm wondering which PayPal Pro module out there is the best at this time. This stroe needs to accept credit cards seamlessly.
There is a few of them on Joomla! Extensions (some free, some not), but I need a good, reliable one with decent support if necessary (I can recode PHP pretty well, but if I'm paying for it, why bother).
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
