No, in fact I have no registration enabled.  I really don't want shoppers to register on the site.  So I have it go basically straight to paypal. 
I did manage to find help to get this working.  Looks like it was because the product actually wasn't published, so it kept forcing me to register.  That seems to have fixed the issue.
