problems with downloads from store

Hi, I'm having problems with my Virtuemart store downloads., When a Customer receives e-mail info to be able to download purchased items, almost invariably, when two items, have been purchased, one of them will produce an error message, and the download is not effective.  Does anyone knows about this, and now I can correct it?

Error Message:
Error: Sorry, but the requested file wasn't found. Possible Cause: Wrong path

however, this is not correct, because the path is right.  It works for some files and not others.
I would appreciate some help on this.
