Accounting integration
« on: December 15, 2006, 01:19:41 am »
I'm looking at integrating webERP with VM.  This would give VM the accounting and manufacturing control it truly needs.  There is already a system to do this for OSCommerce so we should be able to do it for VM.  Another neat feature of this integration would be that we could then use synPOS for a point-of-sale feature for brick & mortart since that is also already done.  webERP is already designed to handle GST and VAT so that part shouldn't be a problem.  It is 100% php/mysql based and is lightening fast.
I would appreciate any help I can get on getting this done. Let me know what you think.

Hi, for the pos i think it would be easier to integrate with PHPPOS, take a look at it, it works great, but an erp solution would be nice too.

This is the kind of information we need.  Freeaccounting is another option, but as it stands there is no simple import function

Hi,

FreeAccounting uses MS SQL Server as the backend database, so creating an import/export system should be quite straight forward. I am already looking at the possibility of creating an import for the US Tax system.

Also,

I have plans to update my own EPOS/Stock control application to include links to Virtuemart and possibly add more accouting functions.

I am afraid not. I have been tied up on some big projects and not had time to progress this.

Is this as good as dead? Anyone has a solution for integrating VM with some accounting program?

Cheers...

Are you looking for open-sourced integration or are you looking for a software integration solution for ERP or accounting integration? Are you looking to buy software to fix your dilemma? Just wanted to know, see if I could help.

i/we have just integrated VM with iTouch POS - giving full stock control, loyalty and account management. and we have it virtually working in real time, using it for fast food ordering where orders are sent directly to kitchen etc etc. cool  8)
