Quick Shipping Cost Estimator

Looking over the forums there appears to be some dicussion about this for USPS, but not much for the UPS module.

I'd like to be able to offer a very quick way for potential cutomers to get shipping costs estimate by simply putting in their Zip code, rather than going through the entire checkout process. Does something like this already exsit for UPS shipping?

I see its been almost 2 years since this post. Has anyone figured if it is possible?
