Paypal payment method - advanced credit card not allowing currency to change

I am trying to set up the paypal checkout Advanced Credit card payment method.


This recording shows me trying to change the currency to GBP but on saving it keeps reverting to Euros:

It is currently unpublished on our site so we don't confuse customers while it is not working.

The screen grab shows it when published and it just hangs and the payment doesn't go through


The regular paypal checkout works without problems and the currency is GBP.
