Back In Stock Notification...

Not sure if there is a way for this to work for us but I'd like to see..

We do not use stock.. all our parts sold show a - stock amount..
when we take a part out of stock we remove the price and select a custom image that says out of stock..

Wondering if there is a way for when I remove the price, which removes the ad to cart....  I can get the notify button to show.. this way when I re add the price It will notify them..
