Vendor ID NOT storing in order_items table. Defaults to main Vendor ID

Despite trying numerous versions of Joomla 3.9 and VM versions 3.4 through to 3.6, and with all multi-vendor options setup correctly, our system no longer stores the correct vendor ID from the product in the order_items table. It always defaults to 1 i.e. main vendor...

I have no idea, and was wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues?

I am also interested in configuring a multivendor VM shop.
VM version in use: 3.6.10
Is there any news concerning this thread?
