Hi,

I am facing same problem in virtuemart 3.2.4.
In Administration of Products category filter search area when i search/ filter subcategory using full name then it shows "No result found" while it has record.

As i checked and debugged and found that it works only for root categories but full name search is not working for subcategory.
Please let me know if there is any solution

This is not the same as in the more than 6 years old thread to which you replied, the software was very different back then. ( http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=103428 )

So I am splitting this off.

Interesting problem. I think it is some chosen.js problem. I assume it is fixed already and we must update our lib.

Joomla version : 3.8.12
virtuemart :  3.4.2

Except this i downloaded latest version virtuemart with joomla package and install it with sample and edit subcategory (Lady) to 'Lady test123'
but when i filter it as same above and enter text - 'Lady t'  it shows no result found. So i think its a bug in virtuemart while same concept is working in articles filtering

Max, check the screenshot, he speak about the choosen dropdown list in admin, certainly  that the javascript filter is not able to filter multiple words.
It's not a real bug for me, by default you have no search feature for a dropdown, so be happy it exist
