Automatic related products, based on custom field.

Hello,

I know it is possible to use a VM Products module, to sort of show related products from the same category of the current product.

We want a variation, where the related products are decided based on a custom field.

For example... if the customer is viewing an Intel motherboard, in category Motherboards, we want to show him other products for/by Intel, not just a bunch of different motherboards.

If "Intel" and "AMD" were the custom field values, this would produce more desirable results.

Is it possible to tweak the Products module to output results in the manner described above?

are you using them as manufacturer as well? or are you using "Intel" as a compatible part?

Actually you might want to have a look at breakdesigns' product builder where you can set up very complicated dependencies.
