After many sleepless nights, I'm proud to introduce you to my new audio store:

https://vsystem.bg - Bulgarian language
https://vsystem.bg/en - English

The site works with all the latest versions of add-ons, including fancyBox.
Of course, we have many more products to transfer from the old site.

I cleared every bug I noticed.
So please if anyone notices a problem, let me know. Even if there is a 1 pixel shift.  :)

Hi,
It's so to say not possible to read the text on mobile.
I tested on my browser > mobile test, but compared to all my website, it"s very tiny.

Ventsi Genchev

Hi,

Once you switched to responsive mode, did the refresh page?
I have made the most effort to have mobile compatibility.

When you enter the site via a mobile device, there is no problem. But in a responsive mode (via desktop), a one-time refresh is needed to become aware.

Thanks for the review, Patrick.
By the way, your plugin works great.  :)

Yes, It's much better after refresh.
But i think that the mobile version is not user friendly when you are in home. It's hard to find how to go to the shop.
Perhaps a simple link "enter the shop" near top of page on mobile ?

Ventsi Genchev

Please explain why it is difficult to enter the store. I need to know to make adjustments if necessary.

Are not the three lines for menu well visible?
This is basically the standard for a menu in mobile mode. Similarly, it is in Google Play, dev.virtuemart and many other places.

Or inside the menu something is not right?

Thank you!

You have not direct acces excluding the menu.
In play store you have some items and "plus" button for eg.
So user can open the menu or click the "plus" for eg. so it's not a problem to not display all the categories.
Amazon have similar buttons to show more items
In your shop you have no direct links to browse the shop from home and need to open menu>products, this is not user friendly.

Thank you Patrick for the advice.
I'll think about it.

Patrick, you're absolutely right!
That's why today I've added icons to the main categories on the first page (mobile only).
I tried with the photos of the categories, but I did not like what it looks like.

Still, we have two more categories in which there are no products, so I have not published them.
We have many more products to transfer from the old site. Then I will add banners and so on.

Thank you very much for your advice!

Best regards,
Ventsi

Had a look on mobile and desktop. Cant see any issues really, looks very clean images / buttons / layout.

What extension did you use for login module? I'm looking for something like this.

The site loaded fine for me, I have a good connection speed, I noticed you have a at least 10 images above 100kb the largest 214kb , I would imagine that could be slow loading on slower connections, did you consider compressing more?

Phil

Ventsi Genchev

Hi Phil,

Thank you for your good assessment.

The login module is Social Login (LoginRadius). It comes with a template, but I've changed it a lot. There were also many bugs that I cleared. Like everything else.  :)
I also added JFBConnect to login with Facebook and Google.

About the photos - I mainly use PNG because I can change the background when I decide. Unfortunately they have less compression, but I don't think it's a big problem. Especially nowadays.
In addition, even when using a JPG or other format, I choose quality over maximum compression. I prefer clients to see quality photos, description, video as well as detailed description, files with useful information for download...

You are wrong.
For compression PNG use https://compressor.io
Compress cca 80%
www.minijoomla.org  - new portal for Joomla!, Virtuemart and other extensions
XML Easy Feeder - feeds for FB, GMC,.. from products, categories, orders, users, articles, acymailing subscribers and database table
Virtuemart Email Manager - customs email templates
Import products for Virtuemart - from CSV and XML
Rich Snippets - Google Structured Data
VirtueMart Products Extended - Slider with products, show Others bought, Products by CF ID and others filtering products

Yes, it's really good. Thanks.
But the bad thing is that you have to compress the photos one by one.

I know people who are still dissatisfied even when they get advice. Do you belong to them? :)

You're not doing well.
What is the use of a design eshop that has a bad rating and no one will display it? I thought the shop is supposed to sell, there are galleries for design.

But if you need, You can buy online resize tools for joomla - Image Recycle Manager.

I accept any advice. Everyone has been learning all their lives and I don't see why anyone should be offended.  :)

For example, thanks to your advice, I have done many tests.
The best I have found is TinyPNG. It compresses JPG and PNG very well without affecting quality at all. Even after 3-4 times compressing the same image, the size is decreasing, but there is no change in quality. Just unique :)
So I bought a Photoshop plugin. Now all I have to do is automatically compress all the photos and then upload them to the server.
According to the tests, the main page will be reduced by over 1 MB.

Probably Image Recycle Manager is good too, but to be honest, I haven't tested it. Personally for me Photoshop is more convenient because all photos are processed before uploading to the site. So the new photos will be uploaded directly in a compressed version.

So thanks again for your advice. Extremely useful.

Ventsi

You should not use PNG, but use webp with fallback to jpg for eg.
This is possible using a .htacces rules and naming the file same as the original image.
