Limit item in the cart by category

Hello! I've made some searches but cannot find any answer. Is there a way to limit products from a selected category?
I have the category "water bottles" i need the user to add a max of 6 water bottles in the cart, but these bottles can be any brand or any size.
How can i achieve this?

I think istraxx has a plugin that handles quantity issues. Check with them about this, otherwise he may have some ideas.
