As a user write into topic http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=97568.0 some years ago, i have same problem. In the back topic it was fixed, but now the problem is represented. There is a bugfix or i have to change the ordering value via db?

The checked out feature is probably a Joomla that is telling you something, reset all checked out items in joomla.

I have added some order status but into order page (option=com_virtuemart&view=orders&task=edit&virtuemart_order_id=X) if i want to set an order status for a product i have full list of order status without the order status that is setted with ordering 0 into order status manage page (index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=orderstatus). So i try to set ordering X (with X > 0) to order status with ordering 0 and popup me an alert window with this phrase: You cannot change the order of items, as an item in the list is 'Checked Out'. This problem was fixed some years ago (as you can read at link that i have posted) but there is into new version of VirtueMart. I hope I was clear in my explanation.

How can i do it?

The old thread referred to is the order of shopper fields, especially the Joomla reserved fields. These can be re-ordered in current VM versions, and with no error message.

The Joomla reset is System/Global Check-in

jenkinhill can you test it following step by step this istructions?

  • From backend, go to VirtueMart -> Configuration -> Order Statuses;
  • Add some order status;
  • Note the order status with ordering value zero;
  • Go to frontend and make a complete order;
  • From backend, go to VirtueMart -> Orders -> Your order;
  • Try to set for a product  the order status with ordering 0. There isn't!
  • Now, try to change the ordering value of the order status from zero to n+1;
  • Popups the alert with "You cannot change the order of items, as an item in the list is 'Checked Out'" phrase.

I have 3 Order statuses with ordering value 0

all of these can be applied to any order manually in the VM orders over view

But I can't think for the life of me why you are concerned with the admin orderby of statuses? Why even touch them?

AH

Use the latest version

I have one order status set at 0 and it shows in order admin

There may have been an issue with the display of the first order status but I cannot remember specifics.

All I can say is that I use ordering of order statuses (mainly to move the auto set statuses to the end of the drop listing) and it works as expected
