One user can buy only one product per type

Hi I have a need to let one user to buy one product per type only. First of all I put the minumum/maximum order quantity as 1. But if the customer repat an order more than one time would buy more than one product of the same type. This isn'tfine for me. I can write some code, buy where should I start? Any idea? Any ready plugin?

No plugin exist, but it's possible to write one if you know Virtuemart and Joomla plugins.
