how to get prices before discount strikethrough

Joomla 3.6.5

Dear all,
I would like to set up my prices show as I show down:
price before discount
price with discount
I follow manual in this video:

I check also setting according to another video and I have already this command in my code.

But after everything was done I can see just:
price with discount
value of discount
Please could you help me what can be problem?

Are you using the default VirtueMart templates or a commercial template with overrides?

I think this depends on whether u have a tax set... from memory shops without tax I always have to alter the sublayout prices.php to get the linethru price

test with a vat set and see if the linethru original price shows up
