How to order products in Category by discount?

Hello, I need to order my products in the category default by discount amount, how can I achieve this?

It's not possible without maybe writing a plugin. Sorting is by base price, as final prices are created on thefly as and when required. See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=136792
