Index.php file is changed after installing virtuemart. Redirect ot VM, not home

Hi Guys,

I hope this is the right to forum catagory. Sorry if it is not.

My website did run smoothly untill yesterday, before installing Virtuemart.
if I'm typing the my web address "www.elkedagfeest.nl" I get a component not found error. The url "www.elkedagfeest.nl/joomla/index.php/en/" gives that error.
The link on my menu bar on the website is still working. It points to 'www.elkedagfeest.nl/joomla/index.php/en/start".
After I published the virtuemart (the catagory and made a link to the catagory) the redirect was to the virtuemart shop, not the homepage.

If im hovering over the virtuemart link from the menu bar, the link I made it links to "www.elkedagfeest.nl/index.php/en/". That is strange, because that should link to my homepage.

I think virtuemart changed my home address in joomla. I have been searching in the dashboard, but I can't find anything that would help me to turn it back to the way it was and give virtuemat a normal link, like "../index.php/en/virtuemart/anypage-in-virtuemart/".

I hope my explanation is a bit clear to you, because it is hard to explain. 
I really hope you can help me, so people can find my website again and get right to my homepage.

is that not correct?
