Not able to set custom values in Cart session in version 3.0.14

Hi Guys,

I am trying to setup a new custom variable in cart session. I have modified helper class cart.php of frontend component. The session is storing the values until they get stored in database. The custom variable values are going into database carts table.

Could you please suggest me something to how to use VMCART session for my variable ?

Not this way. You must do it via the trigger when adding a product, else your system is hackable like an open barn
