[Solved]The search plugin results

I'm wondering if there is a way to fix the search plugin. When I enter a manufacturer and search 90% of the first page is not my search then the proper results start at the bottom of the page and carry on through the pages. what gives. To see what I mean www.aitester.net search shimadzu

check what available search fields u have enabled in the VM admin -> config -> Product  Order Settings

I switched this to default settings and still retrieve bad data. ex. Beckman brings up agilent and other branded products. Is there anything else to look at here to fix this. It will be a problem when I go into production

you need to dig into the product.php model and see just what the query is..

if u switch on VM debug you may get some feedback as to what it is querying

GJC thank you for your time. It was something that I overlooked, But was a default setting for the search. Category Description was the culprit. Not sure why.

perhaps it returns all products that are keyword found in the cat desc.. which could be loads
