Can I turn off the shipping method?

How do you go about turning off shipping in Virtue Mart?

My customer has many parts and weights and their fed-ex API code is not creating the correct dollar amount to ship each product. And, if I create a shipment method, for a specific product, and a customer tries to purchase a separate second item, the shipping does not pick up both pieces to ship.

My thought is to add shipping as a line item in a custom field.

Please provide any thoughts or ideas in regards to this, I would appreciate it.

You can certainly add shipping cost to each product, eitherin the product price or as a custom.

For shipping in the cart set a standard shipping plugin up set to no cost, and make this automatically selected at checkout. You can set its title/name to whatever suits, or enev hide the output with css.

I want the product cost to show separate from the shipping cost, so adding it in the cost of the product won't work. Unless I am not understanding you idea of how to add shipping cost to each product and show separately.

Will this affect the sales tax?

I don't think even if you add shipping as a custom field cost it will show separately.. you need to experiment
