Order Not Going Through

Hi, I'm working on setting up a new Joomla/Virtuemart site (purchased template and software was supposed to be integrated).

When I attempt checkout, I get the Message "Checkout done, please confirm the order". So I go back to the bottom of the page and for a second time click the "Check Out Now" button.  When I do so, the page refreshes and I get the same "Checkout done, please confirm the order" message.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Thank you!

it seems like template override issue. Can you please provide any URL so, we could to see how it looks?

VM3.0.9.4 was a test/development version, stable versions are even numbered. The latest stable version is 3.0.12 and 3.0.14 is not far away. If what you are seeing is caused by a bug then it may well have been fixed already. Test the update on a copy of the site, though, in case the template does break.

In order to rule out issues caused by template overrides you can test using Protostar so that the overrides are not used.

I did some thorough checkout testing this morning and below are my notes, along with attached images that are referenced in the notes.

In the meantime, I will look into updating to a more stable format.

CHECKOUT AS GUEST (firefox; one page plugin)
- filled in Step 1, 2, 3
- clicked Credit Card and immediately got red error bar:
(3) Card Number Invalid
VMPAYMENT_PAYPAL_CC_CARD_DATE_INVALID

… entered cc# and continued with checkout and got …

(1) Message: There was a problem processing your order, please try again or contact the store administrator.
ON BACKEND: Order received and left pending

- paymyshipping coupon still in checkout
- had a product already in the cart and error message at top, unable to exit out the message even though there is an “x”:

- no cart images
- clicked radio dial “Credit Card” and got error message:
(3) Card Number Invalid

… entered cc# and continued with checkout and got …

(4)Error: vmError: 10527: This transaction cannot be processed. Please enter a valid credit card number and type.

I just updated the Virtuemart so it is now being run with 3.0.12.

So far, I am still having the same checkout problems, despite upgrading.

A little more detective research ... I have the same VM and Joomla running on another simple website I'm setting up. The template on this other site is different, and from a different company. However, I am experiencing the same problem with virtuemart checkout on that site as well.

- Both sites running VM 3.0.12
- Both sites utilize PayPal Payment Pro plugin (within the VM payment option dropdown) for credit cards
- Both sites get stuck looping the confirm checkout message after "Check Out Now" button is clicked

Just want to keep this thread active. I still need help figuring out why the orders are not going through. PayPal Payment Pro is a fairly popular plugin, so I'm sure it's something VM has made sure they are compatible with.

I just need to figure out if I set it up wrong or if there is something else going on. I tried getting assistance from where I bought the integrated template, but they told me it was a VM issue ;(

Hi, thank you for looking at it!

The plugins are already enabled. It seems as though you must enter your billing/shipping info though before it shows you payment options. Did you maybe miss that step? Let me know how it goes.

Hi,

the problem is I filled all the fields + registered an account and payment method did not appeared.
Also, recently when I was testing your website I noticed a number of JavaScript errors (top cart didn't show an items until I refreshed, add to cart pop up window did not appeare and so on) which yesterday didn't occured.
Not sure why this. Maybe some cache?

Thanks Jason, I did upgrade the VM version recently, which caused a few minor issues initially. I think most of those are worked out (ie: regarding the checkout cart popping up). But he checkout itself is still screwy.

can you please let me know if you have any HTML overrides in ./templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE_NAME/com_virtuemart/cart/ ?
If so, please try to replace cart directory to _cart and check if this solve an issue.
