Shipment pre-filled on checkout fields!

We are using Joomla 3.0.4 and VirtueMart 3.0.10. When checking out, for some reason, the word "Shipment" appears pre-filled in various checkout fields. This is very odd and it is causing users to skip certain fields and not fill them out thinking they already filled out the field because there is text in them. We have had the word "Shipment" pre-fill in the City field and also in the Zip field, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when or why.

We are using the standard 'weight_countries' shipment method that is included in VM, and Authorize.net as a payment method.

Has anyone else encountered this issue? We had this issue on another site as well, and ended up adding a third-party One Page Checkout plugin which seemed to fix the issue because it bypassed the default checkout. But on this site, that isn't an option for us, unfortunately.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

check that no "defaults" are set in the shopper fields -- you should be on Joomla 3.4.5 & VM3.0.12

your joomla esp. is extremely vulnerable -- test on a clone first

You are awesome! I don't know HOW that ever got added to that spot but that was the problem. Under City 'Shipment' was entered into the Default value for some reason. I will look into the upgrades as well, I appreciate the advise. I'm always worried about updating and then getting a slew of new problems haha. Thank you for your help!

I think this has been reported before (shipment in defaults) but was a while ago..

the VM update should be  painless .. sure your on J3.0.4?  Thought VM3 wouldn't run on it?
