WSOD - VM 2.6.20 TCPDF

I've tried multiple versions of TCPDF and receive a variety of different errors. I've not found any combination that works at all. I need help as my production site is affected.

Currently, I'm getting this error: Fatal error: Class 'TCPDF_COLORS' not found in /httpdocs/components/com_virtuemart/helpers/vmpdf.php on line 122
This error with TCPDF version 2.6

I've tried both the downloads from http://dev.virtuemart.net/projects/tcpdf/files with no luck.

When I run the most current version of TCPDF, I getthis error: TCPDF ERROR: The XObject Template '' doesn't exist!

for vm2.6.20, the 0.8 version should work.

Please consider, that the tpcdf provided by us is just an installer. the last version at the moment is 6.2.12 and Vm2 used imho 5.9

Are you recommending 5.9 with VM2?

The version number of the installer has nothing todo with the real version number of the provided tcpdf library.

so what exactly does that mean when youre looking for the latest first bug fixes? I have version VirtueMart 2.6.20 and need to fix an error when you check out that says, " vmError: Couldn't create order items  " I see there is a thread in here for that topic but its dated 2012 so i figured i just update with the latest vm files. I already updated the config> tools & migration and updated tables so Im stuck ...please help.

Have you tried the current VM2.6.28..  ?  updates are there for a reason....
