VM2 Latest Paypal plugin doesn't set orders confirmed

Around 14th April, my extension manager said there was a paypal payment plugin update available.
I updated this & at the time was running Joomla 2.5.28 & VM2.0.12. Shortly after I also updated VM to 2.0.16

After checking and testing, we have notcied that since updating the plugin, users who use paypal to checkout, can checkout, pay with paypal, BUT, the order is not updated to confirmed & vecause of this the user/administrator does not get an email confirmation.


Earlier today I reverted the paypal plugin from a back up I had from April 13th & with this reverted plugin, all works OK, so seems there is a bug introduced?


I have just updated to VM2.0.18 & with this update the paypal plugin was updated too, and brought back this bug, of order not showing conformed. So I have had to revert again.

Does anyone know what this is caused by? I am not a developer, but looks like all the helper files have been modified between the versions?
