disable user activation email

For some reason I can't get virtuemart to stop sending emails when a new shopper registers.  I have New User Account Activation disabled in User Manager > Options.  In User - Joomla! plugin I have Notification Mail to User set to NO.  Yet, I still get the email that is generated outlined mail_html_reguser.php.  Any idea how to turn this off?

So you didn't set the Notification Mail to Administrator to 'No'? Also if you select your Admin account, there is a setting for receiving system emails.
