What's wrong with sorting manufacturers in backend?

Hello!
Joomla 2.5.24, VM 2.6.10

Backend - VM - Manufacturers.

I create producers not in alphabetical order. I thought that they would be in alphabetical order, but no. Plz tell why?

The manufacturer "ASTER CUCINE" should be in first place, but it's not happening.

Click on the little triangular icon next to the title of the Manufacturer Name coumn. That sorts them for me.
