PayPal options in VM 2.9.9.. Credit cards ..

Question regarding PayPal in VM 2.9.9?
When I set up PayPal . Why is there an option for accepted credit cards ?

It appears I have to choose one?

Do I have to really pick one.. or could the option say preferred card?

When I normally get to paypal .. It says process through PayPal or pay by credit card . The customer then pays as they like.. Does it really matter how they pay?

If I pick an option.. Does it  knock out the other options for the customer?

I am just wondering why that option is there?
