Ok ... I read the paypal instructions in the main thread. I also admit that I do run an old VM version (2.0.22 yes, I know ->). The update is comming in the next weeks, but right now I do need a quick fix. Customers are getting bombarded with emails saying ...

"Ungültige Prüfung der Zahlungsbestätigung (IPN) HTTP/1.0 200 OKServer: ApacheX-Frame-Options: SAMEORIGINStrict-Transport-Security: max-age=14400Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=14400Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8DC: slc-b-origin-www-1.paypal.comDate:"

which translates into something like ...

"error with paypal IPN NOTIFICATION HTTP/1.0 200 OK... "

What changed suddenly ? The site was running fine without a glitch. Suddenly, those mails.

Is there a know quick fix ? I could not find anything in the http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=122595.0 except the note ...

"2) IP address issues
When the IPN is received, we check that it comes from PayPal. Sometimes, this check fails even though the IP comes from PayPal, we are at the moment investigating this issue."

Help ?

I did contact Paypal Tech Support and they basically responded that the mail(s) are send from the virtuemart paypal script, sending emails when there is a transmition error, and sending those to the wrong people.

I still don´t get behind the idea that the shop is running smoothly more than 2 years, and suddenly, without touching any files, it´s going nuts. Does anybody have ideas ? - Thanks d.

"Ich hatte verstanden das es um eine email geht die von PayPal gesendet wurde, aber die emails aus dem Baispiel wurden von eurem Server gesendet.
Ich vermute das es eine Funktion im IPN-Skript gibt, die eine Email sendet wenn ein Übertragungsfehler auftritt.
Diese FUnktion ist fehlerhaft und sendet bei Übertragungsfehlern die Email an die falsche Emailaddresse."
