mod_product_categories fail to display correct?

Greetings.

I have installed Virtuemart 1.1.6 on Joomla 1.5.26 and I'm using the Ja_Purity that was included in my joomla installation.

The problem is that i put the Vertical mod_product_categories on the left of my site. When i Hover on the first category, the subcategories appear in the middle of the screen (instead of appearing
right next to the menu. Maybe I'm missing something really simple, so plz a little help over here!!

Why don't you use virtuemart 2 and joomla 2.5? Or, if you just want to play with it, vm3 and joomla 3.

Well, If i could go to vm2 i would, you believe me
I have some reasons that still keep me here
I will probably try to migrate later
Any answers on how to make this work?
