Taxes and Shipping by ZIP CODE

Hi,

Some things that we're looking for include:

1. Reject Shipping to Unsupported ZIP CODES: We're looking to take orders that involve shipping ONLY if the customer lives in certain zip codes. If a person comes to our physical store, we don't care where they live.

2. Tax by ZIP CODE: We are required to charge different TAX amounts depending on the ZIP CODE.

3. Shipping Charge by ZIP CODE: We charge different SHIPPING amounts depending on the ZIP CODE.

Does VirtueMart allow us to do all of the items above?

assume your US?

It really depends how many postcode areas your talking about

the std weight ship plug can do single postcode ranges so you need a separate method for each "range"

My ship plugin http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=105803.0 can do all postcodes and reject other specified postcodes all in one method

taxes can only be applied to a state as the lowest level

my taxcloud plugin http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=113564 calculates them to the ZIP+4 level and all the other advantages of a complete tax solution.
