vm2.9.6: custom fields in category view

hi, sorry that i post this in the development and testing forum, didn't find a better place as i'm trying to display customfields on category view-page. tried it with several methods i found for virtuemart 2.0, 2.6, but i couldn't get them to work (fe this: http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=100191.15)

Yepp, this is completly solved in vm2.9.8, but there is a layout issue and it wont make fun to release it that way. Please give us 1-2 days. Thank you.
