internal server error on checkout of some products

Hello -

We are running Joomla 2.5.18 with the latest version of Virtuemart 2.6.4. Recently, a few select products have started generating a 500 error in Checkout.

Here is one product that does it: http://www.cascobaysports.com/component/virtuemart/sunday-basketball-team-deposit-detail?Itemid=0
(don't worry you won't have to enter your card info to get error.)

Other products work fine.

In the php error logs, I am seeing this:
[Thu May 29 17:52:58 2014] [error] [client 72.224.173.213] File does not exist: /home/cascobay/public_html/500.shtml, referer: http://www.cascobaysports.com/component/virtuemart/sunday-basketball-team-deposit-detail?Itemid=0

I have searched the Virtuemart forums and can not get a satisfactory answer to this. Any ideas?

that is just telling you the page to show when a 500 error occurs is missing - nothing to do with the error

is there nothing in /logs or /log for VM?

have you tried with full error reporting or debug etc?

I ended up downgrading to VM 2.0.22c

I know this is not ideal but it wasn't working and now it is!
