Hello

With the old Virtuemart we used to be able to go into a product. Got to Product Status. Set the "Availability Date" to a future date. And it would bring up a notice to customers saying that the product will not available until that date.

When that date arrived the notice would disappear.  This worked great and was really an important feature.

This does not seem possible with the latest virtuemart 2. I have the latest 2.6a.

Am I missing an option somewhere? What is the point in even setting that date if a notice does not come up anymore.

Is there a 3rd party plugin anywhere?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Martin

In VM2.6.1 you can set an Availability Date on Products/Product Status tab. This puts the available date onto the product details page.

Hi Jenkinhill

Thank you for your response. I have VM2.6.0a and this feature does not work for me. I have tested all subsequent versions over the past year and the feature has not worked.

Do you see this feature working in VM2.6.0a. If so is there any special options I need to activate to get it to show because it currently does not work for me and I need help activating this feature on my virtuemart.

javedalex1 what do you mean?

Maybe you are using template overrides that lacks the code to display availability. The image here is of the VM default product details template in VM2.6.2
