Administration - change order status problem

Hello,

I have a problem when changing an order status to "shipped" from the administration.
In fact when I change a status and hit the save button it redirects me to a semi blank page (please look at the attached screenshot).
Plus no mail is sent.

Does anyone ever encountered such an issue ?

Update :

Judging by the html in the page, it loads the mail_html.php but not completely
The eror is caused by the "echo $this->loadTemplate($this->recipient);" line

perhaps a memory issue.. have you checked your logs etc?
