product detail page does not show

HI.
i am using virutemart 2. i have created two positions in my joomla page(index.php)
1. cataogrysidebar
2.productssidebar
in the catagory sidebar i have add a module virutemart catagory layout. and set it layout as default.and assigned it to catagorysidebar
and then i created another module with virtuemart product and set layout as default and the display as featured products.
in my virtuemart i have add the catagories and publish them.
in my virtuemart i have add the products assigned them to catagories and publish and featured them

but when i open the page it shows the catagories and products but when i click on any product it does not show the product detail and shows the same page.
can somebody please tell me whats wrong?

I have great problems understanding what you have described, the word "module" in Joomla has a very specific meaning but you do not seem to be describing Joomla maodules.

Can you tell us which versions of VM/Joomla and a url so somebody can take a look? See http://forum.virtuemart.net/index.php?topic=79799.0
