Duplicate menu items

Hello.

I upgraded from 2.0.26 to 2.6.0 today. First thing i noticed is the new Virtuemart menu in the top, however all the items are doubled (See attached image). There is also a new submenu in the Component menu for virtuemart containing: Product categories, Products, orders and Revenue report.

EDIT: I should add that i first tried to update using the button but it didn't work so i had to download both packages manually and install by uploading. The cache is also purged if that makes any difference.

Any ideas?
