Customer (Frontend) password not saving when the user is logged in

Hi All
I had a customer report that once they have an account, if they go to the account maintenance area and click save / update their password that it appears to save their details; but, when they log out and enter their password it is still the old one - and this hasn't been updated.

I have verified that this is still the case, and is not working.

What happens is:
1) The page they are logged into is: index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user&layout=edit (account-maintenance)
2) When you update the password and new password field you are redirected to: index.php?option=com_virtuemart&view=user&layout=editaddress (register/editaddresscheckoutBT)

Any ideas?

We are running:
Joomla: Joomla! 2.5.18
Virtuemart: 2.0.26d

I cannot confirm this using VM2.0.26d (and 2.5.1) Joomla 2.5.18  Firefox 27.0.1

Password change on VM account maintenance page works just fine.

Hello you two,

I get the exact same problem with my clients since last week. I just can't figure it out ..
They can update nearly all fields  from the manager but the password. I checked into my DB and only this one stay unchanged.
It might be the "treat" file (the one dealing with queries) that create this anomaly.
Did you find any clue about this problem ? I guess/hope we're not the only ones to encounter this situation.
