restore joomla users from virtuemart backup

hi i have a terrible problem. my hosting company had a server issue and my backup was corrupted. i have only a virtuemart tables backup working but i'm missing all the joomla table. is there a way to restore joomla users starting form virtuemart shoppers? please help..
