How to insert module in shop description of virtuemart

Hi all,
Can anyone help me on this topic.
I am trying to load a module on the homepage only of virtuemart 2.0.24. I am currently using Joomla 2.5.8.
I have published the module concerned and assigned it a unique position "myposition" which does not conflict with any other module positions.
I have also made sure that the plug in is enabled to "Load modules".
In virtuemart backend I have inserted {loadposition myposition} in the text editor of the shop description in the shop tab. I have also enabled the shop description under templating section in the configuration of virtuemart. However on the front end the article displays as {loadposition myposition}.

Any clues how to fix this or is it possible in the first instance?
