Shipping plugin [please tell me what is needed]

Hi everyone,

I'm making a shipping plugin and so far i have the calculator system worked out but the problem is i don't know what functions on the wiki shipper page are needed,
because the calculator dose all the work and i don't need back-end setting to change properties,

All i can see is it needs to show on the front end to the client the total shipping cost and show on the back-end quotes (save to the database).
what functions are required?

Can anyone please help me with this please i have search all over the net for this and have found nothing.
